Product Family Highlight – Highly Reactive Curative Blends

Dixie Chemical has developed novel, highly reactive anhydride curatives for epoxy via a new, advanced catalyst technology. These products enable high speed pultrusion of fiber reinforced epoxy composites and are well-suited for use in high performance applications. Remarkable pull speeds of up to 72 inches per minute were achieved in pultrusion trials, while maintaining excellent pot life. The cured profiles exhibit high glass transition temperatures, indicating efficient curing during the short residence time in the die. These blends are also optimized for filament winding, infusion, casting and other composites processes.
